SENIOR EDITOR (book) – code SED PO
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Editor-In-Chief, the Senior Editor will be responsible for leading and managing an editorial team. She/He will provide clear leadership by giving direction and focus each day to the most important business and publishing issues and ensuring the quality of the editorial process.
REQUIREMENTS
*
Degree in Economy or other social science (Advanced university degree is preferred) with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience in publishing;
*
Advanced knowledge of publishing industry; ability to analyze and articulate the information management requirements of complex situations; demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to use sound judgment to ensure the effective and timely completion of complex tasks; ability to work under extreme pressure, on occasion in a highly stressful environment;
*
Has at least three years progressively responsible professional experience in publishing or journalism field, or, ideally, a combination of both; and/or experience in a related area such as research and media management;
*
Proven excellent written and spoken English and Indonesian Language are required. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
*
Ability to coordinate the work of others, work to tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent editorial and marketing projects/activities;
*
Fully proficient computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, In-design, Photoshop, Internet, etc;
*
Has driving licenses and is willing to travel.
